Property Damage
Property damage coverage may include both collision coverage
and comprehensive coverage.
Collision coverage pays for physical damage to your car resulting from your automobile colliding with another object such as a tree or a big dog. This is completely optional and is not required by law.
Comprehensive coverage pays for damage to your auto from almost all other causes, including fire, severe weather, vandalism, floods and theft. Comprehensive coverage also will take care of broken glass, handy for the occasional broken windshield. The vast majority of jurisdictions do not require you to carry comprehensive coverage.
